Essa Al Ghurair Offices
The project, located in an industrial zone, consists of retrofitting an existing 2-storey office building to suit the requirements for a new coffee roasting facility. Two new full height homogenous glass block walls replace existing walls and windows on the NW and SE facades.
The walls are designed as glass veils independently structured with minimal framing to reduce the shadow effect of the columns and slab edges behind. The design also includes a new entrance vestibule and lobby, internal office planning, improvement of staff facilities, and the addition of a rooftop garden. Concealed LED lighting is integrated for added visual effects.
